The North Creek Girls came oh so close to pulling out a come from behind win over the visiting Kamiak Knights on Thursday, Dec. 23. But seven missed free throws in the waning minutes led to their demise and the Jaguars dropped the contest 52-50.

The game got off to a slow start offensively for North Creek, with the team trailing 17-8 at the end of the first period and down 31-25 at intermission.

It was anyone’s ball game with the Knights up 49-48 with a minute left. But Mikah Hammerquist and Lyla Kahrimanovic fouled out and Kamiak went on to win it.

Kahrimanovic led all players with 24 points.

The loss drops North Creek to 4-5 overall. The Jaguars are 0–4 in conference play.
